Every June, I tell myself this will be the year I finally master Cannes.

The year I run a flawless activation for my agency, attend every meeting, lock my calendar, hydrate properly, and leave feeling like I “did it right.”

And every June, I end up at the Palais sunburnt, mildly dehydrated, and fully overstimulated, chasing the same energy I had the first year I showed up for Young Lions.

You never truly master Cannes. You learn how to move through it.

Here’s my reality: I attend Cannes in two modes. In my day job, I run content, partner engagements, and activations for Croud, an independent media, creative, and data agency.

I also show up as a creator with a learning agenda, looking to absorb up as much as I can, so I can then also be a better marketer in my 9-5.

It means I’ve seen Cannes from both sides:

● The creator trying to make it all count
● And the company figuring out how to show up meaningfully

This guide is for navigating both.
